Laser cut wooden bulkheads and birch plywood
decking are over-planked with individual mahogany strips for a smooth finish.
Fins, motor cover and seats are made of strong yet flexible polystyrene.
Running surfaces are reinforced with steel plating. Numerous molded resin
parts replicate the exhaust and ventilation systems, rudder assembly, propeller
and other internal details. Cockpit and dash are fully detailed with all
the instrumentation of the original, authentically replicated in photo-etched
stainless steel. The stainless steel steering wheel is laminated with laser
cut wood. For absolute authenticity, all dials are framed in steel, and
latches are complete with steel springs. Clear plastic windshield, rope
for insulating the exhaust tubes, and decals are also included. Three sheets
of plans and 24 pages of illustrated assembly instructions are supplemented
by eight pages of easy-to-follow text. 1/8 scale - 32" long.
