I ship most international packages by Express Mail (EMS) EMS* is trackable online and is cheaper than either UPS or FedEx. Your shipping cost is the EMS rate with insurance, plus $15. for secure box and packing, paperwork, and a special trip to my P.O. Why expensive EMS? Packages sent by surface mail have taken up to 10 weeks for delivery, require more paperwork, are not trackable, and are at higher risk of damage from excessive handling. Regular airmail is not trackable,  requires more insurance paperwork, and is treated with less care. Claims for loss or damage can take up to a year - it is not worth the risk to save a few dollars on a kit that will be hard to replace. EMS is still much less expensive than FedEX, UPS, etc. It may take me up to a week after you have ordered to pack your international shipment and bring it to the Post Office, but if you have a rush requirement I will do my best to accommodate you. exceptions: I do ship some smaller or less valuable items by Global Priority airmail.

Customs and insurance: Customs offices worldwide have become increasingly strict about inspecting and detaining import shipments that seem undervalued or undocumented. For the protection of your purchase we will insure it for the full value, and must declare it to Customs for the same amount. It is not worth risking damage, confiscation, or legal penalties to save some taxes. Please inquire about possible import duties at your local Customs office. I cannot know what duty and taxes may be levied locally on your imported purchase - you should assume there will be some taxes due on arrival in your country.

credit card payment:   I use the standard U.S. automated address verification service that cannot verify most foreign addresses.   American Express provides me with efficient international address verification - this is the easiest card for me to accept for international orders.   If you are paying with Mastercard or Visa Card you must provide me with an internationally accessible phone number for the card issuer so I may verify your address directly. Please call the customer service phone number for your card and verify that they can provide a merchant in the US with address verification at that phone number.

Mexico Because of delivery, insurance, credit card, and Customs restrictions I regret I cannot ship items to Mexico. Orders paid by Money Order in US$ can be shipped to a friendly U.S. address.
